This Workshop includes research topics related to the design, development, utilization, and impact of web-based information systems and e-commerce activities. The issues may include organizational, behavioral, cultural, global, technical aspects of such systems from diverse perspectives of developers, users, buyers, suppliers or other stake-holder groups, Examples of topics including but not limited to the following:
Behavioral-related issues of web-based information system
Issues related to the organizational adoption and use of web-based information systems design
Security issues, including attack modeling and counter-attacks
Virtual communities and their social impacts,
Digital divide and its consequences, web-based knowledge networks and their roles
Global and cultural issues in developing successful web-based systems, including barriers and facilitators
Web-based support and service delivery, such as web-based decision support systems, infomediaries, intelligent agents, e-entertainment, e-news
Standards and regulations for web-based information systems and activities, such as intellectual property, file sharing
Emerging web-based technologies such as web services, semantic web, and their related business strategies and impacts
Web-based social-service delivery, such as e-education, e-government, e-health, e-libraries
